Homework:

Storyboarding is a great way to visualize the project you are undertaking, but before you can begin to storyboard you first need the idea.  Your homework assignment is to be open and to think about an idea you would like to pursue, either in your specific content/curriculum area, someone else’s field that you might have an interest in, or even an idea generated from outside influences.  We want to encourage you to generate several ideas or themes that you would like to tackle so you can share those ideas with others, bounce ideas off one another and have an active brainstorming session.  After all, brainstorming is best when its done as a group! After you have narrowed down your pool of ideas, write a treatment (short paragraph) about one of your ideas and how you intended to explore it by creating an iVideo.  This treatment will serve as a guide through the next couple of weeks as you work toward completing your iVideo.  Don’t worry about getting it perfect, this is just the treatment…the starting point and general guide for you to work with.  Very rarely does your final video resemble your beginning treatment, it will however, be interesting to see how much it does indeed change.

  1. Post your treatment to your blog/website/wiki and drop a link to it in the comments.
  2. Come prepared to tackle first stage of the storyboarding process tomorrow.

  1. Second day was as successful, for my feelings, as the first day. Each of the past two years, the first two days have been very stressful. I thought I’d kill the computer and then tear my hair out. Neither feeling has surfaced so far.

    Thank you both.
