Wicked TPACK Challenge
OK, now that you have written your three paragraphs on TP, TC, and PC, you are ready for the final phase of this project.
You need to create a presentation (Google Presentation, PPT, or Prezi) that you will Jing (that is, your will play the presentation on your computer, and talk over it as if you were presenting to the class) it. In essence, the presentation should convince its audience why your solution is so good. In doing so, it should answer the following questions about your TPACK solution:
- What are the key interactions among TP & C that make this solution so promising?
- Describe how you think your students will experience this problem differently/better with your new solution.
You presentation should include these elements:
- First slide introduces the problem (you can do this verbally and have imagery on the slide that depicts what you are talking about).
- Second slide introduces your solution (same thing here, use creative presentation techniques, don’t just put text on your slide).
- No more than 10 slides or Prezi transitions total.
- Specifically reference the TPACK language in your TP, TC, and PC paragraphs (e.g., I chose video as my technology and role-playing as my pedagogy because I wanted my students to get a better sense of perspective in this content area, and both video and role-playing afford increased awareness of new and multiple perspectives.)
- Since you will be talking over this presentation, it should be very “text light”. That is, try to determine what you can put on your slides to help the viewers better connect with or understand what you are saying at that time.
When, the presentation is finished, Jing it (it is highly recommended that you script out what you are planning to say and practice a few times
and post it to your blog.
The blog posting should have:
1. Text of your problem
2. Text of your solution.
3. Text of the TP, TC, & PC questions and your answers.
4. Your Jing, embedded
YOU WILL HAVE MONDAY MORNING TO WORK ON THIS, AND IT WILL BE DUE TUESDAY MORNING, JULY 20TH, AT 8:30.
