RELATE Conference Presentation
Rouen Leadership and Technology for Educators Conference: July 13
Year 2 will be creating and conducting a conference on Leadership and Technology for the MAET program and possibly for other educators, as described in this blog post from Leigh.
For this assignment, Year 2 students will be creating their own Leadership and Technology Conference. The objective is to both plan and implement a learning experience for other educational professionals on topics of leadership, technology, and education. The theme of the conference that will be creating and conducted is Leadership and Technology and broadly defined.
This assignment has multiple parts, including:
- Working with a team to develop pre-conference materials: keynote, schedule, website, social media and promotion, etc.
- Preparing and presenting conference presentations
- Capturing program sessions to be archived on the conference Web site
Points: 30 on a Pass/Fail basis
After the conference, you will write a brief reflective statement (apx 500 words) that describes your experience in preparing for and participating in the conference in terms of our key themes of leadership, inquiry, learning, and technology. This is an informal reflection, and does not need to cite sources in the same manner as a typical academic paper. Instead, it should focus on your experience working with your teams, presenting your work, and reviewing the evaluation data from your sessions.
If, for any reason, we feel that your reflection does not reflect a thoughtful, integrated response, we will offer suggestions for revision.
